“The Sopranos” star James Gandolfini died on June 19th, 2013 at the age of 51

James Gandolfini, who passed away on June 19th of this year, is probably best known for his role as monster Tony Soprano on HBO’s Emmy winning drama “The Sopranos”.

The show is now part of the legacy of HBO and Gandolfini is credited as a part of that. The network will air a special entitled, “James Gandolfini: A Tribute to a Friend” on Sunday, December 22nd at 8:30 PM.

The program will feature “clips of Gandolfini’s work, as well as behind-the-scenes footage.” In addition, several of his many of his friends and colleagues will appear.
